Lifting equipment inspections are thorough examinations of the gear that takes the load — slings, chains, shackles, hoists, forklifts and MEWPs — certified on the GA1 form and carried out at your premises.
Equipment covered
- Chain slings, webbing slings, wire rope slings and round slings
- Shackles, eyebolts, hooks, plate clamps and beam trolleys

We supply as well as inspect and service all of the above lifting equipment, so anything condemned during the examination can be replaced on the spot rather than leaving you short.

Frequently asked questions
- How often must lifting accessories be inspected?
- Lifting accessories such as slings, chains and shackles, and any equipment used to lift people, are generally thoroughly examined every six months. Other lifting equipment is usually examined every twelve months.
- Do you supply lifting equipment as well?
- Yes. Slings, shackles, chains and lever hoists are supplied as well as inspected and serviced, so failed items can be replaced straight away.
- Is this a LOLER inspection?
- The same thorough examination principles apply. In Ireland the report is issued on the HSA GA1 form under the General Application Regulations 2007, covering lifting equipment and lifting accessories.
